Choosing between a short-term rental and hotel can be very debatable, especially when you’re traveling with families and friends. Short-term rentals are known to be very family friendly. The struggle of having to maneuver your luggages or stepping onto the belongings of other's just to get to your bed at a hotel.

Imagine booking a stay at a house where your family can hang out and have fun without having to be separated into different rooms compared to staying at a hotel whereas everyone is more likely to be separated into different rooms. Tourists should be able to feel together while at a hotel everyone is likely to be separated into separate rooms.

This takes time from being able to relax and enjoy every minute of your vacation. Unlike at a hotel, you don’t have to share all this with anyone else other than your family or friends.

While some may also include: complimentary breakfast, fitness facilities, or indoor pools. Although daily service is not provided at a short-term rental, the luxury of having a full kitchen at your disposal can very convenient. We all know how unhealthy and expensive it can be eating out three times a day. Simply just go to a grocery store and stock up some healthy groceries and prepare yourself a home cook meal.

 

Hotels are not always available at off-the-grid destinations.

Short-term rentals can be found in some of the most unique and scenic areas. Visiting a major city can guarantee you a variety of hotels to choose from. However, if you're looking to explore a place that is more off the map, a short-term rental is the best option for you. For instance, there are many small towns with amazing sceneries and attractions such as national parks, ski resorts, or cabins by a lake. If you get lucky you might have an option of one or two hotels to choose from. 

 

Airbnb has better locations

Lets' say for instance you’re going out of the state or country to visit a friend and want to book a place to stay near them. Commuting back and forth for about half an hour can be a hassle and waste of your day. Staying at a hotel could mean your choices may be limited. With a short term rental, there's a greater chance that you'll find something closer to where you want to be. Not only will it save you some time but it'll also help you discover areas around your location. This allows you to get a more authentic feeling of the local area.
